Q: Are these Edge Visa® Cards the same as debit cards?
A: Each card is a one-time load, digital only, Visa® Prepaid Card.
The primary difference between the Visa® Prepaid Card and a debit card is that you will not have a
4-digit PIN, the card cannot be reloaded and it cannot be used at ATMs. 🚫🏧
Q: Is the Visa® Card Program compatible with NFC (Tap-to-pay)?
A: Yes! They can be imported into any digital wallet like Apple Pay, Samsung Pay & Google Pay. 💳 📲
Q: Where can the Visa® Prepaid Cards be used?
A: The Visa® Prepaid Cards can be used wherever Visa® is accepted in the United States, limited in other countries. At this time, cards can only be purchased by users located in the United States. 💸 🇺🇸
Your virtual card can be easily used online or in stores when using one of the digital wallet solutions mentioned above.
Q: Are there any fees associated with the Visa® Card Program?
A: There are NO activation fees, unlike many other prepaid cards, and there are Zero-Fees charged when spending with United States based merchants. 👌💯
When spending with non-United States based merchants in foreign currency, a transaction fee of $2.00 + 2.5% of the purchase amount is applied, calculated in US dollars using the Visa® Conversion Rate in effect on the day of transaction. This fee is included in the purchase total of settled transactions. See cardholder agreement for additional information on foreign transactions.
Q: Will I be receiving a physical card?
A: No. Currently, the Visa® Card Program can only create virtual cards. These cards will be stored inside of your Edge account, so now might be a good time to ensure you remember your username and password, maybe even set up Password Recovery and further secure your account. 🔐😎
Q: What payment methods can I use to load up a new card?
A: Visa® Prepaid Cards can only be purchased with cryptocurrency inside of Edge. The following cryptocurrencies are accepted as payment --

Q: What is the maximum value I can load on a card?
A: Each card can be loaded with $10-$1000 worth of cryptocurrency, maximum of $10,000 per day.
Q: Will my Visa® Prepaid Card ever expire?
A: Each virtual card purchased will expire at the end of the sixth (6) calendar month after clicking to view the card details for the first time.
Example: If you purchase your card in April, but only click to view the card information sometime in June, then any unused balance after Dec 31 would be lost and forfeit. 🗓️🥲
Q: What if my remaining balance is lower than the purchase total?
A: The transaction will be declined. However, most retailers are willing to accept split-payments. Check your remaining balance and ask to pay this precise amount with your Visa® Prepaid Card, and offer to pay the remainder using a second form of payment. 🖖😇
Q: Why is my transaction being declined when I have enough?
A: When shopping at gas stations or any establishments that require pre-authorization, such as bars and restaurants, the transaction may be declined if your remaining balance is lower than the pre-authorized amount. Important to note: Some service merchants will add 20% pre-authorization to the total bill for the tip, and gas stations may pre-authorize up to $100 per transaction.
For example: a $10 lunch may require a minimum balance of $12 to be able to process the transaction; you may need over $100 remaining balance, even to fill up just $20 worth at most gas stations.
Q: How can I view my remaining balance?
A: All of your virtual cards can be accessed through the same Visa® Card Program portal where you purchased them, either from the Sell tab on the bottom navigation bar, or from the main menu (≡) of your Edge app 😃🤳
Clicking on a purchased virtual card in your Edge app will show your card details are displayed, including card number, CVV, remaining balance, and transaction history. The terms and conditions and cardholder agreement can also be accessed on this page.
